Celebrating a Milestone: Successful Completion of My Ph.D. Journey at Stevens Institute of Technology!
I am thrilled to share that I've successfully completed my Ph.D. journey at the Stevens Institute of Technology, graduating with multiple awards. It has been an enriching and fulfilling journey, and this milestone wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support of my advisor, Dr. Yi Bao, my strong pillar of support - my wife Rojyar Barhemat, and my amazing colleagues and friends at Stevens, and invaluable guidance of my Ph.D. advisory committee members, Dr. Weina Meng, Dr. Muhammad Hajj, and Dr. Yue Ning.
I am honored to have received numerous accolades in recognition of my research excellence, leadership, and potential for future success:
🏆 Paul Kaplan Award - A university-wide recognition for an outstanding graduate student exemplifying academic achievements, research excellence, and potential for future success.
🏆 Outstanding Graduate Student Leader - A university-wide award given to a graduate student exhibiting exceptional leadership in student organizations or volunteer activities.
🏆 Ph.D. Peer Mentor Award - A university-wide award given to a Ph.D. student demonstrating exemplary leadership and mentorship in the Peer Mentor Program.
🏆 NSF Travel Grant - An award for conference funding provided by the National Science Foundation.
🏆 Richard I. Hires Research Award - An annual award for exceptional research achievements in the fields of civil, environmental, ocean, naval engineering, and construction management.
🏆 Stevens Excellence Doctoral Fellowship - Recognizes exceptional achievements in Ph.D. research and dissertation writing.
Throughout my PhD journey, I have published 9 journal papers in prestigious publications such as Resources, Conservation & Recycling (IF = 13.7), Journal of Cleaner Production (IF = 11.1), Automation in Construction (IF = 10.5), and Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (IF = 10.1). Beyond academics and research, I've had the privilege to contribute to the Stevens community and beyond:

💼 President, Iranian Association at Stevens: Worked towards promoting Persian culture and fostering connections within the campus community.
💼 Social Media Manager, Engineering Structures Elsevier Journal: Prepared and curated engaging content for the academic community.
